Jeg vet at mange er nysgjerrig på flytteplanene våre, så dem tenkte jeg at jeg skulle dele nå. Det har ikke vært meningen å være blogger-mystisk rundt det i det hele tatt, jeg har bare ikke orket å forholde meg til det eller tenke noe særlig på det. For det er med et midlertidig tungt hjerte at jeg har sagt ja til å bli med Gravlyset hjem. Prøve å bo i Fredrikstad. Vi har kjøpt en leilighet som vi flytter inn i allerede i november. Hvis alt går etter planen, skal vi også kjøpe tomt i nærmeste fremtid. Og hvis vi trives… Så setter vi i gang med å bygge huset.
Hvis du har fulgt meg lenge, vet du at noe av det jeg setter mest pris på i livet mitt er umiddelbar nærhet til foreldre og besteforeldre. Jeg er ikke spesielt sosial med venner i hverdagen, men er veldig mye med familien. Så det er en sorg for meg å «ofre» det, selv om jeg selvfølgelig skal reise hjem så mye jeg kan. Det er likevel to timer klønete reise hver vei, så det blir ikke bare å svippe hjemom for en kaffe. Det føles kanskje spesielt sårt at jeg «stikker av» med det første barnebarnet til mamma og pappa. Og det er jo ens egne foreldre man vil ha rundt seg når man står i de verste stormene. I hvertfall så er det sånn for meg. Jeg skal gjøre det beste ut av flyttingen og prøve å trives i Fredrikstad – virkelig! Men timingen har gjort at det føles litt tungt, hvis jeg skal være helt ærlig. I tillegg kommer alt det praktiske – jeg må bytte lege, jordmor og sykehus. Flytte, styre, stresse og bli kjent med en ny by, når jeg egentlig bare vil ligge rett ut med bollemagen i været.
På andre siden av vannet venter både verdens fineste svigerfamilie og en haug med andre snille folk som vi kan ha det sosialt og hyggelig med. Sånn sett blir det jo dritbra. Og så er det fint å få testet ut Fredrikstad før vår lille gutt skal begynne på skole. Hvis jeg ikke holder ut i byen, så kan vi flytte på oss før det går ut over barnet i alt for stor grad.
Timingen er både veldig dårlig og veldig god.
Brukte de mest deprimerende bildene jeg fant i arkivet mitt. Hehe.
Men nå vet dere hva som skjer! Så gjenstår det bare for meg å sette på trist musikk og fylle flyttekassene med tårer. Neida, joda ❤️

Åh, jeg føler med deg! Å ha familie nært er det aller viktigste for meg. Spesielt når man for første gang får barn og trenger all støtte, hjelp og råd man kan fra de som er tryggest. Men jeg håper du vil trives og det vil nok gå veldig bra❤ Heldigvis kan man alltids komme hjem i noen dager!

Så mye fin kyst og en akkurat passe stor by! Turmuligheter og by på samme sted. Jeg er fra nabobyen og synes Fredrikstad virker veldig bra å bo i.
Kjenner meg så igjen i dette akkurat nå.. Jeg og mannen min har nettopp fått baby, og lurer på om vi skal flytte nærmere hans familie eller min. Prøver å trøste meg med at ei i barselgruppa har mann fra Mexico, og at avstander innad i Sør-Norge derfor egentlig er ingenting, haha.

Jeg skjønne godt at dette er tungt. Jeg er selv gravid for første gang, og bor i min mann sin hjemby (ikke langt fra den du flytter til) mens min familie bor i nord. Det er trist, tungt og spesielt sårt nå – men jeg reiser hjem når jeg kan og de kommer hit. FaceTime er gull og samme med familiegrupper på snap 😊 Jeg håper det blir bra, og har hørt mye bra om Kalnes sin fødeavdeling 💙

Har bodd 3 år i Fredrikstad og det er virkelig en kjempefin by. Folk er trivelige og lett å bli kjent med, byen er nydelig på sommerhalvåret. Men jeg skjønner godt hva du mener. Jeg bor 13(!!) timer unna min familie, så all besøk krever mye planlegging. Det er min lille sorg å ikke bo nært mamma og pappa, selv om jeg har svigers 40 min unna her jeg bor nå. Hadde jeg fått viljen min, så hadde vi flyttet hjem til min familie. Har bodd 10 år på Østlandet nå, og sønnen vår går i barnehage her, så blir vanskeligere og vanskeligere å få det til.
13 timer er jo på et helt annet nivå ja, skjønner at det er en sorg <3 <3 klem

Åå Ida, dette traff meg skikkelig! Vi bestemte oss også for å flytte dit «han ville» da jeg gikk gravid. Vi flyttet riktignok ikke før etter at jenta vår var født, men det var skikkelig tøft. Heldigvis er babylivet hektisk, så det går stort sett fint, men ett år senere savner jeg fortsatt foreldre/søsken/besteforeldre masse – og krysser fingrene for at planen om å flytte tilbake etterhvert blir en realitet!
Når det er sagt prøver jeg å være positiv – det har på langt nær blitt like ille som jeg så for meg på forhånd, tvert i mot har vi det (stort sett) veldig bra.
Mange klemmer til deg, og lykke til med flyttingen. Gleder meg til å høre mer fra deg om graviditeten – og alt annet!

Har aldri kommentert her før, men føler nesten jeg må gi deg den oppmuntringen jeg kan i en sårbar tid. Har selv født på Kalnes som relativt nybakt Østfolding, og jeg kan ikke få fullrost sykehuset nok. Det er nytt og fresht, og de har virkelig lagt til rette for at man skal få en fin start sammen som familie med både mor, far og barn. Jeg hadde bare positive opplevelser med personalet, og det skader heller ikke at de re «norgesmester» i å unngå revning.

Og på sommeren så eksploderer det helt og man gleder seg bare til alle turistene reiser hjem igjen. Men det er jo MEG som person, da :O Jeg er glad i Tønsberg fordi jeg har familien min her. Bortsett fra det så er det ikke mye som holder meg her.

Vi flytter til Fredrikstad fordi det er hjembyen til min samboer og fordi han drømmer om å bo der. Så får vi se om det blir Fredrikstad, Tønsberg eller noe helt annet til slutt 🙂

Velkommen til Fredrikstad! Jeg flyttet til Oslo for 6-7 år siden, fra hjembyen min Fredrikstad, og savner ofte tilbake. Hadde det ikke vært for jobb, hadde jeg flyttet hjem. Ikke gi helt opp før våren og sommeren kommer, da er det verdens flotteste sted å bo – og når høsten og vinteren kommer da, er det enklere å sette pris på det byen har å by på, selv om det kanskje kan virke litt kjipt å bli kastet inn i november-Fredrikstad 🙂 Lykke til!

Håper du kommer til å trives i byen. Hver gang jeg er i Tønsberg slår det meg alltid hvor like de to byene er. Dette går nok fint! Jeg er også sikker på at den kommende ektemannen din har påpekt det viktigste – nemlig ekte kveldssol! 😉
Fødte selv på Kalnes for ca et år siden og var veldig fornøyd. Nytt og fresht, enerom med egen seng til far, ikke minst lystgass (!!) og kjempeflinke leger, jordmødre og barnepleiere.

Velkommen til Fredrikstad! Er østfolding selv, men har kun bodd i Fredrikstad i ett år. Er strålende fornøyd med valget, og vi jobber nå med å finne ut av hvor i byen vi kunne tenke oss å finne en større bolig. Det gjør meg nysgjerrig på hvor i byen dere skal bo, altså bydel/område? (Skjønner hvis du ikke vil dele)
Som innflytter var det vanskelig å vite hvilke områder som er å foretrekke, men samtidig tror jeg det er vanskelig å treffe feil her. Det er såpass liten forskjell på områdene. Veldig hyggelige folk, og nydelige omgivelser. Håper dere vil trives <3

Jeg kjenner litt til fødeavd på Kalnes, Veldig bra arbeidsmiljø der, å akkurat det har MYE å si for hvordan pasientene opplever å være i avdelingen!! Fredrikstad er jo en nydelig sommerby! Ellers har jeg mamma’n min 7 timer unna så kan kjenne meg igjen i det.. Men dette kommer til å gå helt fint! Jeg har flytta myye.. Porsgrunn, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger og nå Oslo.. 😅🙋🏼♀️ trivdes over alt! Rart hvor tilpasningsdyktige vi folk faktisk er!😃 Dette går så fint!🤞🏻🤞🏻

Fredrikstad er sikkert helt supert på mange måter <3 Akkurat hva gjelder å reise til Oslo er nok Tønsberg og Fredrikstad ganske likt, men Tønsberg hakket bedre 😀
Ville bare si at jeg forstår deg veldig godt. Vi bor i nærheten av mine foreldre og min mann vil ikke flytte til sitt hjemsted på Vestlandet. Litt flaks der…å flytte langt vekk fra foreldrene mine ville vært grusomt med det tette båndet vi har. I tillegg har vi hytte i nærheten her så nå er vi stuck 😉 Fordelen for deg er kanskje å gjøre det nå…så får du muligens bestemme når barnet blir litt større 😀 Ting blir sikkert bedre enn du tror.
Ahh, skjønner så godt tankene dine rundt det hele, men må bare si at Fredrikstad virkelig er en FLOTT by! (… Og det kommer fra en særping 😝) Vi har flytta fra Sarpsborg til Porsgrunn med alt av familie boende i Sarpsborg, så skjønner godt hva du mener med klønete reisevei, selv om det bare er to timer 🙂 Men om vi skulle flytta hjemover igjen hadde det nok blitt Fredrikstad og ikke Særp… Det er altså så koselig med Gamlebyen, sentrum og restaurantene på brygga, verdens fineste bibliotek, Hvaler og ikke minst kort vei til Sverige når den tid kommer igjen 😊 Dere har en utrolig flott tid foran dere 😊

Ja, det er det mange grunner til. Blant annet at vi ikke aner hvordan tiden etter fødsel blir, og jeg har det ganske bra nå. Men skulle jeg valgt om igjen, hadde vi nok kanskje tenkt oss om en ekstra gang og utsatt det et år 🙂
Åh, forstår deg så godt❤️Typen tok med meg til Drammen (der han er fra). Det ble ett år før jeg dro han med meg til Trondheim. Nå har vi bodd her i 6 år og har fått 2 fine barn. Mamma og pappa er rett oppi bakken her😊Håper dere finner ut av det❤️

Jeg fødte på Kalnes i august og de som jobbet på føden og nyfødtintensiven var bare HELT fantastiske!!! Selv om jeg bare ville hjem på det tidspunktet gjorde de opplevelsen så fin den kunne blitt❤️Ser tilbake på det med så stor takknemlighet. Skulle gjerne hatt sykepleierne fra intensiven med meg hjem, ble så glad i de alle sammen

Flyttet selv fra Sandefjord til Hamar for en samboer. Jeg trivdes til savnet etter venner og litt familie kom. Jeg kunne aldri bare reise hjem som jeg ville pga flere ting og til slutt ble det for mye i forholdet til jeg brøt og flyttet hjem. Jeg angrer ikke et sekund på at jeg valgte å flytte, for jeg opplevde veldig mye fint og jeg vokste på det. Nå er det Tønsberg for samboer, noe som er ganske mye lettere og praktisk.
Masse lykke til! Uansett er det jo spennende og nytt, du vil få fine minner, alt vil bli bra uansett ❤

Jeg har lest gjennom kommentarene her og ser at mange har skrevet det samme, men jeg tenkte at det ikke skader med enda flere komplimenter til… fødeavdelingen på Kalnes. Jeg har ikke fødet der selv, men venninna mi gjorde det nå i sommer og de var storfornøyde. De ble ordentlig godt tatt imot, både mor, far og barn.
Jeg er selv fra Østfold, men flyttet fra fylket før Kalnes ble en realitet. Var mye på Fredrikstad sykehus i barndommen, noe som selvsagt var kjipt, men det var også litt stas. Det nettopp fordi at vi da kunne traske rundt i den vakre byen.
Jeg håper du kommer til å stortrives der!

Du må gjøre det DU vil <3 jeg flyttet fordi kjæresten min ville og bodde borte fra familien i 4 år. Det er det dummeste jeg har gjort. Heldigvis flyttet vi tilbake! Men det kan også være perfekt for deg. Bestemoren min flyttet fra sin familie til bestefaren min sin familie da hun var 17, og hun bor fortsatt her.
Håper du vil trives i Fredrikstad, jeg liker byen veldig godt selv om jeg ikke bor der selv. Før bodde jeg rett ved mamma og likte den tryggheten veldig godt. Nå bor jeg 30 minutter unna og det er ikke alltid like lett å svippe innom. Men hvis dere har et gjesterom kan jo moren din komme på besøk og sove over. Da jeg fikk barn var jeg veldig avhengig av mamma, samtidig som svigermoren min stilte opp like mye. Man trenger familie når man får barn, og når man blir mamma for første gang trenger man sin egen mor. Jeg skjønner at du syns det er sårt. Det første året er litt sånn, men det går over når man vokser inn i rollen som mamma. Og Kalnes hører jeg at er et supert sted å føde, alle vennene mine har født der og har bare positive erfaringer derfra.

Jeg hiver meg på kommentaren til «mamsen», jeg har selv født på Kalnes sykehus og kan ikke få rost de nok. Jeg fikk komme med engang ved to anledninger da jeg var høygravid og redd for jeg ikke kjente baby røre på seg (baby sov godt og dypt men mor var veldig redd førstegangsmamma). Fra vi kom inn, fikk jeg et eget stort fint rom, fødselen var enda langt unna så jeg fikk beroligende så jeg endelig fikk sove litt og samle krefter. Jeg hadde 3 ulike jordmødre da fødselen tok så lang tid men alle 3 var helt fantastiske. Fra start til slutt på Kalnes kan jeg ikke si annet enn at det var supert. Vi fikk tilogmed være en dag ekstra da jeg var så redd for å mestre å dra hjem med babyen. Alt gikk strålende og jeg kunne også bare ringe fødeavd ved spørsmål ♥️🙏🏽
Fredrikstad er også en fin by, jeg synes det er fantastisk du gir det en sjanse å prøve å bo nærme din kjæres familie 🤗
